Our Turner man is growing by warp speed, or so it seems. This little boy is so tall we should call him stretch armstong! He is doing wonderfully! He recovered quickly from a scare of pneumonia in May, he is a strong little boy and continues to teach his mommy and daddy strength every day. He is not only walking now but running cirlces around us! Saying new words every day, his favorite are "plane, bus, train"....and he can recognize all family members cars types, if he sees a camry like andy's he'll point and say "daddy's" or any Hylander like Jagi(grandpa joe) he'll point to it and identify....looks like we have some type of transportation engineer on our hands. He loves to identify all his body parts, "elbow"is his favorite and loves to name animal sounds, Mooing like a cow is his favorite! He is so sweet and caring offering many hugs and kisses throughout the day and loves to share with other kids. It's hard to believe he'll be turning two this november, although he has definitely entered the "terrible two's" stage, he sure can express his frustration and as parents we are learning every day how to deal with toddler behaviors, it is quite the learning curve and we'll let you know when we find the magical answer, for now we stick with "love and praise, boundaries and consistency". We were fortunate enough to spend the past month in Chicago with Nan and Jagi, Aunt Michelle Uncle Chris, Aunt JoJo and Casey, Turner really got to bond with them even against casey's wishes :) He loves to call Aunt joanne "jojo" and runs up to aunt michelle's belly and says "baby baby" we can't wait to meet cousin mangan! Turner bear was also lucky enough to take casey on a walk most mornings with Jagi and he also got many popsicles and ice cream cones from the doting grandparents! Nan loved to take walks around the block with him and find flowers along the way, now when we walk with our son he teaches us not to forget to "stop and smell the roses". He really has reminded us to enjoy the simple pleasure in life :)We've had alot of fun at the beach, the park, the pool and children's museum in Chicago! And after our 13 hour car ride we are happy to be home and are hoping the days go by slooowly before school days begin again. Thanks for keeping up with The Reuters, here are some recent pictures
