Big News!

We're Engaged! Friday night Andy took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday, we went to a restaurant on the water, Inlet Cafe, that we had ate at four years ago and really enjoyed. We sat out on the patio and you could see the New York City skyline over the water in the distance, the meal was amazing and we had a great time. After dinner Andy asked if i wanted to go for a walk on the beach so we parked over at the Quay(the restaurant we first met at and became best friends at four summers ago) and walked over to the beach. You have to climb these wooden steps to get over the wall to get onto the beach and when we got to the top Andy kept standing there stalling, then he got down on one knee and said "Maria Joan Turner, will you marry me?" Instantly, and with some very happy tears I said "Yes, I want to spend the rest of my life with you!" After hugging for about ten minutes he then put the ring on my finger, it is a very beautiful and special ring, as the whole night was! We then walked down to the beach, although i felt like i was walking on clouds not on sand :) We are just overjoyed and so happy that we were with our family for the weekend to help celebrate!! What a special time it is for us!

Turner's Seven Month Ultrasound!

We had our seven month ultrasound and check-up this week! The Dr. said Turner looks great! He's measuring at three pounds fourteen ounces, just a few ounces more than average but healthy! With Andy in NJ my roommate was able to come with me to the appointment and see little Turner, he is so adorable already! We'll post the u/s pic soon! The Dr. said it looks like Turner will be 8 to 8 1/2 pounds at birth which makes sense because Andy and I were both 8&1/2 pound babies. I can't belive he'll be here in less than ten weeks! I now see my OB every two weeks until the last month when i'll be seen once a week, I'm sad to leave my OB here who has been with us through these seven months but I know I'll find an OB just as good in NJ! Andy started his first day as a fifth grade teacher yesterday and absolutely loves it, he is such a great teacher already and his kids are so lucky to have him! I'll be up there in just a few weeks, it's a bit overwhelming at times with such a big move but there are so many positive things to focus on, I can't believe we'll be a family of three in just two months, we just can't wait to see Turner! Hope everyone is doing well, sending our love, Maria, Andy and Baby Turner
